The Sad Reality of Avoidance

Avoidance. The act of doing everything within your power to miss coming in contact with, ingesting, breathing, or exposing yourself to harmful substances.

Don’t smoke. Avoid secondhand smoke. Don’t eat anything containing trans fats. The latest is to avoid drinking water from plastic containers made from BPA.

These are the obvious things to avoid. Unfortunately, this is but the tip of the iceberg.

The Iceberg of Avoidance

The Iceberg of Avoidance

Never before in history has avoidance been as important a thing to practice as it is today.

Much of today’s food is poison — literally

Shop in the middle aisles of your local grocery store, most of which is processed food, and you risk exposing yourself to all kinds of chemicals and toxins.

Corn and its ugly by-product, high fructose corn syrup are prevalent in processed foods. They ravage your body when ingested. To boot, most is derived from GMO corn, which means it is chocked full of not only corrupted DNA, but chemical insecticides and herbicides.

Sugar substitutes so prevalent in processed foods are neurotoxins that have no place in your body. Aspartame, Splenda, NutraSweet — are one the list in Avoidance 101.

Even rice — a staple for so many people around the world, has caused a stir lately. The levels of arsenic, an ingredient often found in trace amounts in rice, is on the rise.

We have fluoride in our drinking water, along with a pile of chlorine and other chemicals. Fluoride in toothpaste. We have mercury in our dental amalgam. Household cleaners full of toxic chemicals. Household products like air fresheners full of the same toxic chemicals, only they smell nice.

Install new carpet or buy a new sofa for your home lately? They are likely sprayed with fire protectant and stain guard. The off-gassing of these chemicals will end up in your system for years. In fact the old-timers in your local fire department will tell you residential fires today are infinitely more dangerous today than 25 years ago due to the chemicals contained in a typical home.

The ‘A’ in The MEANS to an End Lifestyle™ is unfortunately a critical piece in the anti-aging puzzle — and it’s only going to get worse. You owe it to yourself and your family to learn how avoidance needs to be practiced on a daily basis.
